A melhoria do conhecimento fisiopatológico das anomalias fetais e o desenvolvimento de ferramentas terapêuticas permitiram, em alguns casos específicos, a terapia intraútero por fetoscopia. Apresentamos o estado da arte e os avanços recentes para a cirurgia fetal. Novas técnicas estão em desenvolvimento. Embora a morbidade materna associada à fetoscopia seja baixa, a ruptura prematura de membranas e o parto prematuro continuam sendo problemas importantes.
