Congenital syphilis is a preventable disease. However, an increase in occurrences has been recently observed in Brazil. We present a case of congenital syphilis showing fetal manifestations. Pregnant women are particularly vulnerable to exposure and greatly prone to inadequate diagnosis and treatment.
